Kakizome-Taikai will take place on the 5th of January 2020, from 11:00.
Please refer to the attached poster.
You can write your new year resolutions, your favorite letters or words with a traditional brush and black Sumi ink (Boku-ju).
This year, we are commemorating the new nengo 'Reiwa' and will write something related to ‘Manyoshu’ ; the classic poetry collection
where this new era name comes from.
-> If you are participating, please come in casual outfit which you would not mind getting stained,
i.e. black top, old T-shirt, apron etc.
-> Also please bring some old newspapers and Japanese Calligraphy Kit if you own one.
-> Please bring some wiping cloth or towels.
Parents and also the non-members (i.e. your family and friends) are welcome to join this event.
Fees are £2.5 per child for members as same as normal JPS sessions, and£3.5 per adult/child for
non members.
... Japanese tea with biscuits / light snacks will be served after the session.
